Library
Charlotte Country Day School’s three division libraries offer books, online databases, periodicals, reference works, maps, computers, software and audio-visual equipment and materials. Students can locate library resources using our web-based automated catalog of holdings and other database services, including Britannica Online and WorldBook Online. Students are encouraged to check out books daily and are expected to use the resources for both academic endeavor and pleasure reading. Professional library faculty are dedicated to each division library to teach and assist students in locating and using information effectively.

The Middle School houses the Dougherty Media Center, offering access
to more than 10,000 books and non-print material through an automated
online catalog. The school library/media program is an integral
part of the instructional process. The course of study is designed
to teach students skills in locating, evaluating, and applying information
to help them function effectively. The goal of the program is to
ensure that each student acquires skills necessary to become an
independent learner.
